Our client has recently received their DA for a new rooftop bar addition to The Exchange Hotel in Brisbane’s CBD. This is an exciting addition to the already popular and successful city pub. It is also a structurally challenging exercise because the new bar area is to be built over the top of an existing heritage rooftop. The design had to respect its city context and that of the heritage building below, address significant building code compliance issues not to mention acoustics, making it a very exciting project indeed!
