About Us

Based in Brisbane, KP Architects is a design focused practice specialising in the design and documentation of hospitality fit outs, refurbishments and residential commissions. We are committed to the exploration of wide ranging ideas to provide creative and unique solutions for our clients. Profile

Established by Kon Panagopoulos in 1995, the practice has developed a strong design focus over the years, with an emphasis on the creation of liveable and memorable built space that also exceeds its clients’ expectations in terms of the brief, the budget and the time frame. We also believe that a good design is based on shared beliefs between client and architect, and that ultimately a successful outcome is determined by the end users experience and enjoyment of the space.

Directors

Kon Panagopoulos | BArch(hons) BApSc(Arch)

Prior to opening his own business, Kon worked at Brand and Slater Architects as a student and then a graduate where he gained a wealth of experience in hospitality design. As a registered architect, he established KP Architects in 1995, starting with some small house extensions and pub refurbishments. Now with over twenty years experience in the industry, Kon has completed a substantial portfolio of projects ranging from small scale fit outs and single detached houses to large scale pub refurbishments, as well as new build hospitality, residential and commercial commissions. Outside of his success at managing a business for this period of time, Kon is particularly gifted at translating his design ideas into reality through the use of hand-drawn perspective imagery. Kon oversees the design in the office, manages projects under construction and is also responsible for the development of client relations.

Natalie Dixon | BArch(hons) BBE(Arch)

Natalie began her employment at KP Architects as a student in 1998. She graduated from QUT School of Architecture in 2002 with second class honours, becoming a partner in the business in 2005 and a director in 2012. Over the years Natalie has successfully designed, documented and managed many of the office’s projects, from houses and bar fit outs to large residential buildings. Outside of her interest in small residential commissions, she has a strong expertise in interior detailing. She now oversees much of the interior design and specifications in the office. She is also responsible for the in-house day to day operations and management of the business and in recent years she has developed and implemented many administrative and design processes to improve efficiency and quality control of all projects.
