The Norman Hotel Beergarden was completed just prior to the Melbourne Cup in 2013 and the minor refurbishment to Normans Bar and the Front Bar were then completed just prior to Christmas. Constructed on a relatively small budget, the transformation of the 3 spaces has been dramatic.

As you will see, over the past few months with regular attention the gardens have thrived and the beer garden looks green and lush. There is even okra growing from the cut kegs that were once used in the Front Bar as dry bars.

Part of the brief was to change people’s perception that The Norman is not only famous for steaks (“Brisbane’s worst vegetarian restaurant”), but it is also a great place to enjoy a drink with friends. So far, it seems this has been a success.
