This week Kon and Nat attended a site meeting for a pub refurbishment we are designing in Sydney. Whilst there, they took the opportunity to check out what’s going on in the world of hospitality in Australia’s largest city. They saw some fantastic venues, namely [The Grounds of Alexandria] with its little pet piglet called Kevin Bacon, [The Soda Factory] where you literally step into an old fashioned coke dispensor in a hot dog shop to enter, [The Baxter Inn] to step straight into the nostalgia of the prohibition era, and [Palmer and Co.] where the bones of the building itself create a wonderful space before it is layered with any additional design. They came back energised with ideas but their age has definately softened them to late nights!
