The first stage of the refurbishment of the Kenmore Tavern has opened and been well received. Earlier this month, to commemorate the opening, a time capsule buried in 1984 by the then Transport Minister George Orwell Rus Hinze was unearthed. The pub itself has been returned to it’s original humble beginnings with the warmth and character of the original building being restored. The builders have now moved on to constructing the other half of the tavern space, which will include a new Bistro due to open in mid-September.
