KP’s own house was completed back in late 2006 and over the years his family have become very comfortable there, as has the bamboo which has now grown to more than double the height of the house. Although built to comply with the Q100 flood levels, 1200mm of the ground floor level went under water in the January 2011 floods and KP spent a lot of time and effort last year restoring his house back to its original state.
