Hand Drawing
Kon has been busy sketching again, this time its for a interiors package presentation for Sandstone Point. At least 40 hand sketched perspectives have been prepared on this project to date, not that we’re counting! With the prevalence of 3D drawing programs being used in the majority of architectural practices these days, many architects have really lost the ability to communicate their ideas by hand. And it’s a shame because this is a really efficient and quick way of getting your concepts out of your head and onto the paper. Sure, a hand drawn perspective doesn’t always have the bang and punch of a computer generated image, but there is something inherently human about not having to rely on a machine.
Back to Sandstone Point, where construction has just commenced on site,so this is an exciting time both for seeing the shell come to life and for planning the finer detail of the interior spaces.
