We’re very excited to be designing and documenting a new house for a lovely couple at Formosa Rd in Chandler. With a 1000m²  heavily treed site to play with, it makes the process pretty different to the usual inner city small lot house. Our clients have subdivided off their current house on the block; a 1990’s brick house with a tiled skillion roof and some charming internal landscaped courtyards, designed and purpose built for them and their young family at the time. They love their existing house dearly but as their family has grown up and their lifestyle has changed, the time has come for a new house to suit their current needs. We have taken many cues from the existing dwelling in terms of form and materiality so that the two houses read like a continual and connected timeline. Can’t wait for the project to start on site!
